Im trying to decide whether to paint (white with red stripes) the original style super snake stripes or the newer style unique performance uses. I also was thinking just back solid white like the factory. let me know what you guys think!!

My car has a 3" cowl hood and the shelby style decklid

Also should have the side stripes or leave it white?

It's hard for me to get past the hood on the red car. I really hate it.

With a 3" cowl hood, I don't think I would stripe it at all. Leave it alone.

I had the car white with the red shelby stripes before. Ill post a pic when I get home. The reason I do not paint it back the same way is because a guy here in town bought a car with the same paint scheme ( small town).

Lets see some more votes!!

I voted all white. But, if you decide to go w/ stripes, I would go w/ whichever stripe pattern is widest overall. I'd be afraid that a narrow set of stripes would overemphasize the center of the 3" cowl hood.

In order, my vote: all white, original pattern, new pattern. If not for the large cowl hood, I would go w/ the Unique stripes.

well the original specs are 3,2,10,2,3 and the new style are 3,1,11,1,3. so one is 20 and the other is 19. The width at the front of the cowl rise is just over 20" , so it would all be on the flat part of the cowl not on the sides like shelby stripes.

does anyone have a pic of a car with a cowl hood and stipes on it

Those stripe are subtle and look fine. Putting SS red stripes on a white car is another ball game. Maybe you can Photoshop something.

The new style stripes. I did mine similar to the new style but used the 70 mach 1 stripe dimensions.

Ohyaa,
Could you send me some pics of your car so I can see the stripes a little better than your avatar.
