Which power steering rack to buy?

I went to the parts store today to get a new PS rack, but there are a lot of variations...
Ford vs. TRW (I think...some acronym starting with T)
w/ vs. w/o performance suspension
1 vs. 2 piece bushing
What do I choose?

I beleive the Ford racks are made by TRW anyway.

You want w/ performance suspension.

The W/O one is for 4-banger Mustangs. It's 3.0 turns lock to lock while the performance one is 2.5 turns

you want a manual rack and pinion so you can get rid of that pos p/s pump.

Nah, I want a power one so I can have PS...lol...
Thanks, I figured it was the perf. susp. one that I wanted, and I knew that TRW made Ford stuff, but I wasn't sure if either was preferrable? And what about the bushings?

When I did this I got the Ford rack with performance suspension. It came with a different bushing package but I had Energy Suspension bushings anyway. The Ford rack has both fluid connections on the drivers side. I think the top is pressure and the bottom is return. The TRW rack connections are side by side rather than verticle.

OK, Ford rack, performance suspension...1 or 2 piece bushings? For a stock setup...I would assume 1?

Get rid of that sissy power steering! Get a Flaming River manual rack..free up some hp & room under your hood + it's much more durable
