I'm going to be doing a shifter swap on my 02 GT and I was wondering if anybody out there is using the UPR Blu Thunder Shifter? I can't decide between that one or an MGW. I've been looking at the MGW for a while but the UPR is a lot cheaper. So I would like to know who is using what, and how they like that? Thanks in advanced.

I have been using the UPR shifter for almost 2 years and love it. I have had no issues and love the feel. Plus, it's made in America.

MGW here and in my friend fivespeedsteeds car. We love them. No problems at all with them. Have driven other mustangs with others shifters and they dont compare in my opinion.

I had an MGW on mine for a few years and ended up going back to stock after a leak began at the flange. I could have just put new silicone there but decided I'd had enough of the short shifting thing and noise. It was kinda cool for a while but got old. I don't race and don't need to shave 0.001-seconds from my shifting time. Stock is buttah and silent, even if the throw is truck-like

I've had my MGW for 4 1/2 years. I've tried the Tri-Ax in both a '97 GT and an '04 Cobra. Both times I thought it was the flimsy stock shifter.

MGW FTW!

I have absolutely no noise and the shifts are perfect. Plus the MGW pistol grip is sexy as hell (sold seperately)!

My friend pinkstang has the UPR on his 98 and loves it. I have the pro 5.0 and think it is ok. I am looking into getting the MGW if funds ever allow though. I have read nothing but great reviews on them. Can you use stock shift balls on the MGW?

Had the MGW on my 97 and may get one for my '98. Although I kind of like the stock shifter

The MGW is very good for street driving, but I tried one in a Terminator and didn't like it powershifting wise. Other than that it is very smooth.

My Pro 5.0 is more balanced for hard shifting and street driving IMO. And I need to get a Terminator shift boot and some Cobra Bob gaskets to see how much noise I can get rid of...

There is nothing GAY about the shifters mentioned above... You're GAY for not asking about each one and getting personal feedback. :Zip2:

Talking about GAY, once you have an aftermarket shifter, the stock shifter feels like shaking hands with someone with a limp wrist...
