I need to get a set of shorty headers for my 2000 GT. Now, I know that people are going to say "shorties are weak, just get some LTs." But i'm in CA and i need to pass smog and there's no way i'll get my registration renewed with a set of LTs on there. SO. Here are my questions for open response:

Which shorties sound the best?

Which shorties make the most power?

Which shorties have a CARB number on them?

thanks!

And shorities aren't "weak". They were used on a certain 2v that made 729 rwhp.

JBA is what I will be going with. I have Mac LTs now, and they like to leak no matter what gasket (Percys, OEM Ford) I'm using. JBA's are supposed to be top-notch quality with good flanges, etc.

top quality with good flanges? Talk to nazman his just cracked.....I find it funny. I'm from cali also but guess what...I have my car registered in alabama so that I don't ever have to get the sniffer again. I run long tubes and an offroad x pipe.....cali cops cant say s h i t to me.

from what i've heard about people who have problems with JBA's, it usually ends up being from incorrect installation.

JBAs all the way here. IMHO much nicer that the FRPP shorties, hence the cost difference.
