for a 97 cobra which would be the best to go withas far as power and reliability? vortech w/ aftercooler or an Intercooled procharger.

I really don't think you would be wrong with either.

My Experience installing a Votech S Trim on my buddy's 93GT I can say it was quite a well designed and made plenty of power. The instructions were good and the fit was real quality.

I would go with the Procharger, because it's self contained and you don't have to tap in to the oil pan.

Just an FYI, I found a used Vortech kit that was missing a few pieces for $1000, and with injectors, fuel pumps, gauges, etc. plus $500 for dyno tune, I'm right at about $2500 investment and my car is putting down 435 at the wheels.

I thought I read somewhere that vortechs were supposed to add hp up to 475 on a 96-98 cobras?

Vortech HP on 96-98 Cobra's

I think 430-450rwhp is more accurate dependent on tune and exhaust mods.
