Which upper rad hose for sep. belt?

I need to know what upper radiator hose you guys use, when you convert to a serpentine belt. I got a hose from NPD that is supposed to work but its too short, and the stock 91 hose has too small a ID for the radiator.

i have an 83 motor with serpentine belt in mine and use a hose made for a ranger i believe.i can check tommorrow and see if a part # is still on it...

I'm confused, isn't the upper the same? It goes from the intake to the radiator. How does serp belt change that?

If you use the stock 69 hose the belt tensioner gets in the way, and the stock late model hose is too small at the radiator end. Plus the early thermostat housing has a 45 degree bend, vs. the latemodels 90 degree bend.

You might try one for a late model F150 truck or an E150 Van. These have 45 degree T-stat housings, serpentine belts, and larger but similar radiators to the early Stangs.

I'd recommend making a model out of toilet paper and paper towel rolls to fit your needs. The go to your local pats house and find the closest one. Crude but effective

It would work, but I'd have to sneak it in there and check out the other customers, before whipping it out!! I think using a wire cota hanger would be a safer way to do this ( to avoid unnecessary embarassment)
