Hey guys really need your help on this one. I sold my FRPP cobra valve covers because they wouldn't clear my stud mounted harland sharp roller rockers on my performer heads. I did not want to remove the baffle and have oil shooting through my pvc. Now I need new ones but which ones will work?

I was looking at the tall ford racing polished ones but they are not for EFI as they won't clear the intake or so they say. I sold my Gt40 tubular intake and just bought a Edelbrock performer II which I haven't got yet. Would I need a spacer to run these valve covers? and if so does anyone know what size or part number. Is there a spacer for the performer II only or do other ones work?

I was alos considering the fabricated aluminum ones they look pretty cool. But will these work at 3 1/2 inches tall?

PLEASE HELP!!!!:bang:

I think a 1/2" spacer should work, but I'm not certain. Are you talking about actual fabricated ones or the fabricated/bolt together look like the Edelbrocks?

Also, did you read T-Moss's intake review? The GT-40 intakes actually produce better power until about 5500/6000 than about any of the popular intakes. Not that you can really do anything about it now, but just asking...

I was thinking about those ones that are all tig welded together have that custom fabbed look. But at this point I have no idea what willk work????

The gt-40 I 've owned for 9 years.....building the new motor and just sick and tired of it. If I give up a little bit of power for something new than so be it for now. I just wanna get this running!!

the ford ones that say they don't work for EFI is cause they have a breather hole in each valve cover. this will cause unmetered air to enter the system. if you plug one of the breathers off, and ran the other to the TB like stock, you should be fine. they will still fit on a SBF, may have to order the tall version to clear roller rockers.

you mean like these... i think these are 4'tall not sure though. i am running a 3/8 spacer on my intake. they cleared a set of scorpions, and now are covering a set of harland sharp customs.
