Got a test light? I think you can hook it up to the negative on the battery and then check each side of the coil with the ignition switch on/engine off. I don't want to lead you wrong, but I believe it's the back terminal as you're looking from the front of the car.

Right now i have it off the wire if your looking at the back of the coil its the right side. I was wondering if it was wrong because the tach is kinda jumpy and wont go over 2500rpms, its a 5" phanton tach w/ shift light.

Sorry, my wires are black & orange at the coil. I hooked mine into the factory harness behind the dash and it was the green one in there though.

Been so long I don't remember what the stock colors are. I think the black & orange may have been from the MSD box. My engine compt has been empty for several months now. They could've even been from an extension harness I made. I really don't recall Using Accel 300+ on the new setup, so I may never see the orange & black wires again I'll have to dig out the MSD box and see what color those wires were

Theres a brown/yellow and red/green wires into the coil. The green wire off the tach is into the red/green wire on the coil, my red power wire goes into the #11 fuse and my ground is under a nut for the pedal assembly. Why do you think it wont go over 2,500rpms and gets erratic kinda bouncing momentarily Should i get a stronger power source for it?

One coil wire (Red/Lt Green) is power from the ignition switch & provides power to the coil the other wire (Tan/Yellow) goes to the TFI module. The TFI module does the same basic thing as points do in non-computer cars.
