I finally got my intake on right. No check engine light and it seems to be idling fine.

When I rev the car and let off the gas it seems to whistle really loud though.. I have no idea what it is... Any ideas?

are you sure you got all the vacuum leaks?...Mine was whistling after i did mine too because I had a vacuum leak. It wound up being a dry rotted and cracked hose.

Did you put on a new throttle body? Some aftermarket TB's have been known to whistle I s'pose.

Get some propane and check for vac. leaks. Otherwise its very possible its just the intake setup. Is the car showing any signs of a minor vac. leak?

Letting off the throttle after you rev it will create a high vacuum situation. You might still have a leak somewhere.

My throttle body whistled, BBk TB's are notorious for it, if you have a stock TB look for a vaccuume leak.

Oh... Mine doesn't whistle like that. Its more of a whine. Like said above I have a Fms tb and I installed it at the same time as the intake.

An idle air controller that is on its way out will often make a whistling noise. Have you gotten close to the engine and tried to pinpoint exactly where is coming from?
