white deepdish 20" bullits?

I'm just trying to see if they make them. Glad I still have my hvlp devilbis spray gun huh....I'm gonna have to order two 20x10 & 20x9 amricanmuscle bullit painted wheels and go to work on my scheme. I just bought a 2005 gt and I want white wheels on it.

If anyone does find any 20" bullit white wheels please let me know.
Thanks

This is an interesting thread because I have silver 18x9 DD bullitts and I was thinking of painting them black. Could I do it myself with a can of paint? Which paint? How would it look? I don't mean to hijack the thread.

blacksheep06,

You can't do it with a can of paint, there is more involved. A bodyshop would have to do it if you want a proffesional job. You need adhesion promoter, primer(if color is way diff than the one you had) has to be prepped and shot just right etc...

I wouldnt go as far as to say " a body shop would have to do it". I have shot plenty of things and its not hard.I agree a can of paint wont cut it unless you want a flat finish. You couls also just have them powder coated, probably cost less then painting them. The materials alone might get kinda pricey, if you dont have paint supplies, compressor or a gun. A detail gun would work fine.

I talked to Les Schwab here in Washington because I wanted white wheels for my yellow stang. They said they have a place that paints there truck wheels white that could do it for $50/wheel. Only trick is it has to be a painted surface, not polished or anything.

what do you mean by a detail gun? I think nohting is as good as a boodymans/paintors work, not nessesarily at a bodyshop, but by someone who is a paint expert. It's like having an electrician do yoru carpentry, unless he is a licensed electrician and carpenter.
I've shot many cars in my time ( way over 100 overall paintjobs) just just my 2 cents.
here's pics of my car www.picshome.com/gallery_view.php?gid=5426, for sale by the way

I wonder who does their paint if they dont know how to painted polished aluminum???? You have to etch the aluminum first so it has a "rougher" surface and then you prime and paint like normal.

Great iskwezm, When I say a bodyshop, I mean a PROFFESIONAL paintor. If one is a carpenter and considers himself to be good enough to shoot the wheels, and he/she follows the steps involved they should go for it. However there are many things involved as far as getting the work done 1 time and haveing a hard glossy finish that will stick and will not rub off with your fingernail. I would def go with proffessional automotive materials either way.

again, just my 2 cents...

P.S ordered my 20" Bullit wheels and will spray them next month.
