I am about to put all the window regulators, frames, channels etc back together on my project and want to know what grease to put on all the parts.

Mustang monthly did an article saying to use the white lithium grease, but was that because what is original, or what is better? I am a big synthetic person and cant really come up with a bad reason to NOT use it.

Looking for advise and I will definately listen. Thanks.

i, too am big into synthetics lubricants, to the point my 65 has amsoil in the engine, trans, diff, wheel bearings, and suspension. never thought about using it on window mechanisms, but i dont see that it would hurt. really, though, the window innards dont see much heat, shear, or friction, so i doubt it would make a big difference.

either one will do fine. the white grease is what the factory used, but a synthetic might last longer, like 40+ years is not long enough

Yes, that is what I am cleaning up from all the channels, that gummy mess. Granted it is a 40 yr old gummy mess... not too bad.

I'm leaning towards the synthetics now (like I have always been) but worried that something required it.
