last week i was leavin burger king with my dad behind me and i let out a little bark with the tires. well the rpms were up around 4.5 ish i believe. wasn't really paying attention. I kept messing around with him, givin it a little extra gas on take offs., which doing this of course raised my RPMs considerably (not redlining but around 4-5k). when we get back home he said to check my oil and see if i was low because when i got on it, it was smoking a little bit. Well i just thought hey its just beacuse its so cold outside, but he said that it was really darker. So i check my oil and its about 3/4 quart low, which is due for an oil change anytime anyways.

So what might he problem be? It isn't affecting preformance any at all, but im hoping im not due for a rebuild right now. Its only smoking when its taching high so is that a clue??

If it was white, it might be coolant. If its blue-ish, its oil, unless im mistaken.

White (which is actually steam) is coolant
Black is fuel
Blue is oil

I'd say do a compression test to make sure all 8 cylinders have good compression. FWIW, you mentioned you were leaving BK, if it was sitting for a little bit, you might have gotten condensation in the exhaust pipes, and it might have just been steam burning off.

3/4 quart low at oil change. not bad. if its not knocking, overheating, excessive fuel or oil consumptionand not affecting preformance any at all i would not worry about it.

Maybe just carboned up some???...If you dont romp on it all that often and get into it some she's gonna belch some smoke, usually dark..
Try it during the day and see if you can notice it...Blue or oil is gonna stand right out...you dont wanna see Blue..
I go thru about a qt between oil changes and think nothing of it...alot of vehicles will suck up some between changes, least the 5 in my yard do..

A little white smoke from condensation is normal especially in cooler weather. I'd only worry if it was billowing white smoke like a locomotive
