Just wondering what you used (alum, steel, etc) and if you anchored the brackets to the radiator mounting bolts or drilled a new anchor point.

I fab'd up a mount for my fan and shroud (came as one unit) using a sheet metal "L" bracket on each side. I used the same 5/16" bolts to both attach both the radiator and the shroud/fan. Getting the mounting points (holes) located correctly was the toughest part - that and not scratching them after painting.

I welded 2"X1/8" starp to the radiator tanks and then used shouck mount bushing to isolate it from the core support.made fan mounts by using 1"X1/8 strap

I used aluminum. Pics at the site.

No matter what you decide be sure to put rubber between the mount and the other mount to help with vibration.

SoCalCruising, you da man! I have the same HotRod Air (Scott Drake fan supplier) fan/shroud combo and also an alum radiator with no fan/shroud mounting points. Thanks for the tip.

I used aluminium to fab up some brackets to put a viper fan on my griffin in my 90.

Here's another pic showing how the bracket is sandwiched with washers/bolts.
