What do you think? Is it worth the cash?

Its something I have always wanted. I say I am going to buy it and something else comes along. I know one day I won't be able to get it.

Just bought one from AM with a 10% off coupon. It's not here yet, but I'll let you know how I like it when it arrives.

Even at 10% off, its hard for me to justify the cost, but I just cant get over the fact that the steering wheel in my Subaru Outback feels better than the Mustang's stock wheel.

yup...best mod I got

the steering wheel is the most used "interface point" in the car (well after the seat) and a good one makes a world of difference...well worth the money

but I've worn mine out after a couple hundred thousand miles and I kinda need a new one

I was going to get a FR500 wheel, buy couldnt find myself to drop the cash. If you are able, look for a 03/04 Cobra wheel. They are double wrapped leather unlike single wrapped on the GT's. The top was wearing and splitting on mine at 125k miles so I found a used one for $50 on ebay. Definitely worth the cash. The only issue was the internals had to be swapped from my stock one to the Cobra's. Definitely feels better steering compared to the GT one!

My wife got me one for X-mas '08. We were absolutely astonished when the price went up to around $250 in Jan. '09. Glad she did that when she did.
The look & feel of the wheel is fantastic!

I'm guessing it's like the Cobra brakes and as the supply is dwindling the price is rising

and ya, I have 230,000 some miles on my GT....I swapped the motor for a brand new, complete engine at about 200,000. But more because I found a good deal on the engine than the car really needing a new engine...it's getting to be like "gran-dad's axe" replaced the three times and the head twice, but still the same old axe

damn thats ridiculous its at 250 now, thats price gouging like none other. if i could go back i would have just bought a cobra one a used one somewhere, but i would never pay 250 for one thats ridiculous i mean common its a piece of metal with some foam and pleather wrapped around it, they arent even great quality anyways the stock cobra ones are probably built ten times better.

I have one....it came with my car. I wouldn't buy it for myself but it's cool as hell to have. Very very squishy and feels really good....like big boobs.

I really want one, but I've been looking for years now for a 2003 10th anniversary cobra steering wheel.

I feel pretty dumb for having to ask this, but what exactly is the advantage of this steering wheel? What's so great about it? Does it just feel better or something? It looks just like the stock wheel to me.
