Looking for some pics/ideas on mounting gauges, wiring, switches etc. I don't mean gutted with the dash left in place, I'm talking totally stripped out.
I'm stripping out my 86 to make a auto-crosser and need some ideas. Like this pic but drivable.

LMFAO I cant believe you used my pic for your thread thats too funny
Its alot different now well just a dash about 7 or 8 guages One kirkey seat and a 10 cage and sum carpet I will have a update in about three weeks

just paint everything on the inside so crazy metallic green or purple, blue?
and it shall be fine..

actully i just saw a stripp'd down later model in some Magazine i just bought, I figure if your gonna strip one car it wont be much different in another model.

lemme find the pic and scan it.

I just flipped through 5 magazines for you!
It was in 5.0 magazine. i guess you can see the peoples car at tiger-racing.com.
now that i know that. i bet i never needed to scan this picture..

Yet again, I wish I had access to lots of sheetmetal and some metalworking materials. I would soooooo strip down the interior of the Notch. Simplicity =

all you would need is some tin snips really....anything that needed formed you could find objects to form it around home depo sells sheet metal..

I had nothig but 2 seats and a dash in my 86 for a loooong time, put it in though about 2 weeks ago, it aint coming out again LOL, believe me it dosent make it slower, or faster plus you dont have all the little squeaks and rattles.

I can't tell you how many times i've thought about this. There's a Grabber Blue fox GT road race car in one of the 'mags that has the sweetest looking interior, and it's just bare metal painted a nice silver, with some nice black racing seats and the stock dash. I wanna do that, but i want a nice set of floor mats that i'm gonna make some kind of quick release system so i can snap them in place and take them out as i need to (to vacuum them or whatever). Then get some sheetmetal door panels and paint them to match the rest of it. It's not for everyone but i think it's awesome.

Yeah this is my 5th Fox body and I'm looking to go a different route. All the twists have been done with a stock interior, it gets boring looking at the same stuff everyone has. I want a raw look and feel, guess thats what I'll get haha.
