I have been waiting on my pms for over a month and a half... (lol thats sorta funny... Cause when pms is late it can really piss you off) I finally called up AFM today and the guy sorta laughs and says it will be at your house tomorrow..

I just recieved my new CHE lower control arms and im waiting on my new strange adjustable shocks and adjustable struts... (got them off ebay for 200 bucks  ) Im also waiting on my new X2C upper control arms...

Besides getting the suspension and tuner, The car gets painted next week. With the paint job comes the new R hood and badgless bumber.. and of coarse the new custom paint work on the front...

Car should run better, handle better, and look better. All I need is interior work and it wouldn't be the same car at all, hmm.. i think i will buy an airfreshner, lol.

All this crap happened to work out in the same time spand. I think im going to take it easy with my car for about a year after this though... (Can't afford not too, not to mention the gas prices :nonono: )

After all this maybe i can work on some better times... Im wondering if i should take out my 3.73's and put some 3.55's in it.. Cause hitting the rev limiter way before the end of the track really sucks...

Moneypit sounds like a perfect name for either you or the car.

I enjoy reading about other people spending tons of money on their car, and wish it were me. Maybe I should be glad that I avoid all the debt.... :D

well yeah the whole debt part really sucks.. But i look on the possitive side of it. I have virtually no bills outside what i owe on my credit cards, my college is paid for because of Active duty time, and i get a nice little check each month to go to school... Whats a 5k debt compared to a 20,000+ dollar debt i would be paying if i hadn't went in the service because of schooling?

So what im getting at at is this: Im substituting a small amout for my car for what i would be paying in tutition...

After saying that the small debt i have doesn't sound as bad in my ears... lol

what paint job u doing? sounds like your spending your money the right way though.

i work at a hardware store and only have to pay for the car and a cell phone bill. the perks of living at home.....

im a bussboy, im in highschool and my cars will be supercharged within the next week. what kind of job do you have?
if your directing that at me, I have a part time job were i work as an assistant for the local Teen Court Program... But besides that i have no tution, I pay a low amount of rent and i get over 1000 a month for my GI bill. (Go ARMY :flag: ) I have a couple other small sources of incoming money but they amount to paying off the rent each month... So that leaves me with apporx 1000 dollars each month for spending money...

If i had to do things over again some things may have changed but i will always be glad i did my time... The bennifits of going active duty kick ass...

One more thing... My parents have never paid for a single thing on my car.. Actually the only help from my parents I have gotten was they bought books for me my first semmester...

Maybe it really isn't my business, but how do you guys afford to work on you cars? Are you all lawyers and doctors or something?
i've been a software developer for 20 years. the money is good ($130k). so i figure if i can afford a new $29,000 gt (vert), then i afford to buy a 95 for $7000 and by the time i get to $29,000, my car will be the most righteous machine on the street!

i'm at about $10,000 right now ...

Kinda OT but what did you start out at money wise as a SD? I am in college now and taking a few classes and your income makes me want to make that my major :)

Moneypit.....What times are you shooting for with the new parts? 10's?
dont forget the pics

Right now i would be happy with an 11 sec time slip on my Nitto's and anything below 11.5 on my slicks... If i do break 11.5 i will probalby only do it once... (No role cage, fire suit, etc...)

BTW: NHRA is anything below 12.00, IHRA is anything below 11.5

in 1984, working my way through college, my first programming job was $28k per year at georgetown university, but the job came with free tuition :nice:; i graduated in 1996. i think entry level programmers make around $50k now.

Its called a job, and no rent.

I have a good job too and no rent but I have no idea where my money goes because it sure as hell isn't going into my car. Oh wait, I have a girlfriend so anywhere I go or anything I do, I pay for two. I could have a damn twin-turbo 418 by now if it wasn't for that.... :bang:

Moneypit, what did you do in the Army? I am going into ROTC next semester and am going 11X and will try out for the 40th Ranger if everything goes as planned. :flag: A guy I know bought a 03' Cobra with the MGIB (how legal is this :D ) so I figure I could mod the GT out a bit too.
