Not sure I fully understand it, but I think think the profile varies with tire width, kind of like a percentage type measurement in MM ? I can't remember, I am kind of a newb still. But the profile in 355/45/17 is the 45 number. I tink I had like 45 series and they looked nice. But with a wider tire like 315 I think the profile would shrink even though the number is still 45. So I would have went up to a 50 or something. Like I said. I am confusing as it confuses me still.
