Whos running cutouts?

unless you are drag racing and need that extra breathing power on the top end there is really no reason to run cutouts. that old WWII fighter plane sound will scare the piss out of the car next you which I will admit is pretty cool, but it will get you a ticket pretty quick in my area and I like not having to wear earplugs when I drive my car.

But in all seriousness, it doesnt sound like that, i'll get some clips up shortly. (only thing I dont like is the idle, but the cam will fix that)

A stock motor with open headers doesnt sound like a race car, it sounds like a stock car with open headers. Now a built motor with open headers, is loud but doesnt sound terrible. I am just not a fan of open headers, no tone just noise (like a Harley to me). Just get a loud exhaust and be done with it!
 
I thought about putting a couple of dumps on my stang but I like the sound of my spintech exhaust setup with the x pipe way to much to just throw in some cutouts.
I got a 70 Chevelle with Flowtech 3" Cutouts with a mild 350 and I rarely drive it with them capped. In the 5 summers of driving it I have had 2 noise ordinances, but it is worth every penny driving it with the dumps open. It is very obnoxious and it can make your ears ring after a cruise. You also have to tighten bolts and screws time to time, because of the vibration. It is also great just idling thru a parking lot and hearing car alarms go off left and right.
