I'm replacing my dead fuel pump and while down there figure i'll replace the fuel filter.....thought it would be 1 2 3.......I obviously removed the little hairclip style retainers (which didn't seem to be doing anything anyways...) and went to pull the lines off each end of the fuel filter...but man... I pulled on em and i mean pulling real hard and they're just not coming off?!?!

can someone help? what am i missing here. this stupid little thing is holding me up from finishing the job..

you need a fuel line removal tool. it is about 4 bucks from any autoparts store. it surrounds the clip and pushes it out.
