Why do so many people run 4 cylinder springs

Whats the spring rate...I still have the Steeda sports on the rear but I'm thinking about the 4 cylinder springs. Whats the part number and how do they perform at the strip and how they they ride on the street? I want a spring that will keep the drop . I've converted to coil overs up front on the 02 GT already.
Like to hear from those with experience with these springs.

Joe, only folks I know of are using the 4 cyl in the front for drag use as a cheap alternative to coil-overs. Most use Fox V8's with a slight cut in the rear. This makes for a cheap drag set-up with a nice 1-2" drop. I would think your rear springs would be fine for drag or street.

I see.....i did not realize it was the front. I knew I'd seen/heard of alot...
The Steeda sport seem to be doing OK but I'd like a bit more squat in the rear on launch...the tokico's are set on full soft but it seems that the rar dont settle quite enough...I cn get get the front to lift to the point that when I shift it bounces...but the rear is still stiff. Granted i have a ir bag in the right rear but only about 10 lbs in it. of course if the front lifts enough and stays lifted maybe the rear can stay stiff as long as the tires hook.
Watch the video and see what I mean...motor was hurt so it was noot putting full power to tires...but you can see the rear move little and the front bounce on the 1-2 shift...I might need to just tighten the front a notch so it dont fall so fast...
