air bag ?'s

The reason your light is on is because something is wrong with the system. Typically the way Ford worked this was that a certain amount of flashes determined the problem. As of right now your air bag system is not working. If a problem is detected, the system shuts off. Can you turn it off yourself- no, not really. What's wrong- it will have to be tested. It could be the bag itself, the clockspring (steering column contact for bag and horn and cruise) , or a sensor or the diagnostic monitor itself. Good luck and I'd get it fixed vs. letting it go. An air bag in my old 90 lx 5.0 saved my life on day. You never know do you............

See:
http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/airBag/

*Do a code readout*! It's easy to do. It may be that you disconnected your battery (for 94/95's).

Let me know what the code is. 99% of the air bag problems are easy to fix. It could also be the clockspring (a high resis on the driver's side air bag).

Again, let me know if you have *any* q's.

Here is the *cheap* version of the Pen Cam. I didn't see the better one on their web-site. It's often in with the web cams.

Did you check the fuse? That's what was wrong with mine.
