i just put a new solenoid on it. The old one still work i just had take it off the fix my van. Everytime i hook the battery up it try to start. what could it be? it on a 84 t bird i know this is for mustang but a t bird is like mustang only longer.
Are you saying it's trying to start by itself with no key? It could be the starter bedix is stuck. Craw under the car and see if the starter is engaged in the flywheel, it shouldn't be while off.
do you have the remote start option on your car? i just replaced the alternator in my friends truck and when i screwed in the terminals the truck started without the key. we just needed to press the remote start button on the key chain once the battery was connected and it works fine now.
