Why is there even a question of prochamber vs. x-pipe?

No. The Prochamber has more low end torque, and equal or more top end gains. Its the better choice of all catless pipes. I havent heard one, but I would choose for the sound anyways, the low end difference is probably not even noticable and the top end as well.

They are totally different. The pro-chamber has a really hollow, liquid sound to me. I am thinking of getting one because everyone with them just loves them. They also sound really good on almost any catback system. I doubt I will switch because I love the way mine sounds and because I doubt the difference would be worth the money over my BBK H pipe. Maby one day....

the prochamber made a 42rwhp increase at 4500 rpm over stock? Does it say what else is done to the car?

That mustang must have had something wrong with it to make 170hp. It probably had plugged up cats. Then they tested it with an offroad pipe.

It's all marketing.

Judging from the hp ratings, not much.

Well that's what I was thinking, and I thought stock 5.0's rwhp was about 185 stock.

Typical advertisement. I could see it if a car had clogged cats, clogged to the point of the car hardly able to run. I wish it were true.

I love mine, but lots of top runners in NMRA run X pipes. Custom X pipes, but still X pipes!

From the diagram, it looks that the p/c is a boxed X pipe, but a little more open towards the inlet side. That probally explains the echo, hollow, liquid sound it makes.

Ummm, it's winter, ummm, track not open yet.

I was planning on a dyno run on my day off work on thursday but it snowed, the one day I have plans and it freakin' snows, in Georgia. Tax refund in, ordering tires tomorow. I'll have some money left over, I'm not sure what to buy with it.

I like them alot, they are definatly an awsome upgrade, especailly with the valve spring upgrade, but I may be outgrowing them. Many people try to say they do not perform any better than stock, one idiot even said that he knows "this guy" which lost power with them, that is just plain BS, but I am thinking I am starting to outgrow them. I am thinking of a FTI combo but that is a lot of money, but I want a different cam and if I do I'm going custom and why do that alone and not get some heads. It was a good stepping stone though. I think if I do, I will keep these heads in case I get another SB Ford powered vehicle unless someone gives me a reasonable price for them.

They are different and seemed to be liked a lot by whoever has them.

By the way, my 1990 GT is BONE stock (no mods AT ALL, except for K&N) and it made 194 rwhp and 269 rwtq.
