Why is this Steering Wheel different than all others I see???

I just won this auction for a steering wheel which appears to be very clean. Now I wonder why there is no leather stitching around the wheel like my current one and every other mustang that I see??? Why does this one look like it's plastic or something?

it is out of an LX.. Most likely a 4 Cyli.. or They probably didn't pick the option of leather wrapped steering wheel. Its not plastic but more of a Rubber type material

Got ya. Hell of a lot better than what I got now and only cost $50. I guess if I don't like it, I'll throw it back up on e-bay.

I think that looks GREAT!!

I know 5.0 Resto rewraps steering wheels for $500, $400 if you give them your old wheel...

I think I made out really well!!

Just put a Wheelskin on it and it will look great. I've used them on three different vehicles and they look OE. Don't confuse them with the $15 junk at Autozone. These are high quality stuff that looks like it came on the car.

I might go with one of those wheel skins, mines getting alittle wear on it.

Those wheel skins are actually really nice. Looks very very close to the leather wrap that my mustang came with from the factory. Anyone have pics of the wheel skin installed on their car???

I did one of those on the wife's Bronco. Not even close to the quality of a Wheelskin.

Maybe it's not a Mustang steering wheel?

I've seen other Ford vehicles with steering wheels that looked almost identical to the Mustangs, but without the leather wrap. Taurus's, Lincoln Towncar's, and I think some others.

Should work either way though.

For $25 and it's still holding up, that's a great deal. Looks factory too.
