Wideband Sensor Install ????

I'm considering installing a wideband gauge in my 2003 vert and would like to know how the O2 sensors are installed?
Do they replace the stock sensors or is their some kind of
adapter that is used to mount them?
If so, is all this stuff typically included in the kit?

Do I need to have new bung holes drilled in the exhaust?

Do you guys keep these things in the car all the time or just
when you are dyno'ing or testing?

Any suggestions on what brand is reliable?

Sorry for all the ??? but I am finding little on this topic.

I think youre questions will be answered by the photograph captions, but I'm sure the specific install instructions differ for each supplier.

I like my innovate LC-1. Simple install, reliable. It keeps the calibration really well and is quick to give you a blinky light if it needs it again. Calibrating is easy and fast.

Mine is on my daily driver. It's on when the car is. I've had 1 sensor going for several months with no problems. I had a new bung welded onto my xpipe but you can disable the rear o2's and replace one of them with the sensor if you don't want to spend the 20 bucks to get the bung welded on.

I just bought an Autometer kit, they come with everything. I just had the bung welded in my X-pipe at the muffler shop. They charged me $25...the rest of the install is fairly easy. Just running and connectin some wires.

That's one of the units I am considering.

LC-1 works OK when it works...they are extremely sensitive to grounds and offset voltages. I'll most likely be making the switch over to AEM gauge style, much more compact and very, very accurate.
