Wife said I could get h/c/i, but..

My car has 85k on it, and it seems to use about a quart of oil every 1500 miles. Should I rip the engine out this winter and have everything redone, or could I get by the way it is. I thought someone on here did the h/c/i and has 160,000 on their stang.

I was planning on doing a comp test on it to see where I am at, but didn't think that would tell me the condition of the oil rings.

ur car doesn't seem like it should be doin that cuz of the low miles, but just for the hell of it i would slap some h/c/i/ nad if u have the dough get a DSS but whatever u do don't get it at the shop where i'm gettin mine done!

As long as its not leaving puddles of oil in your driveway, its probably leaky valve seals which are in your heads. Mine used to be the same way until i go new heads.
