Will bolt-on D/S Loop cause floorpan rust?

I purchased a bolt-on D/S Loop & read the instructions & it made me wonder whether or not it would increase the chance of the floorpan rusting one day down the road. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Or can anyone describe actual installation a bit? Thanks in advance.

I had one in mine for 2 years know, and no rust.Just make sure to keep it lubed under the chassis :nice: !
As to the install, you will need to pull out the seats, pull back the carpet away from the "rocker",towards the center concil. And depending on what driveshaft loop you have, you might have to drope the driveshaft. Then locate to where the loop should be as per instruction sheet, then drill away, and install! :)

I have done a few of them now and never a rust problem if you take added time to spray some rustoleum over the holes you drill both on the inner and under part of the floorpan. you could also take some gasket maker and seal the gap around the bolt if your as anal as I am.

I just pull the two front seats and pull up the carpet on each side enough to slide the box for the loop under to protect when I drill the holes. do yourself a favor and drill one hole once you have it lined up and set the bolt so it holds the loop and you can drill out the rest of the holes. easiest way if your doing it alone.

Good idea. I may not use Gasket-maker but I will most certainly pick up a can of Rustoleum.
