Will fox body valve covers work on the 94-95 5.0?

I run them on my little 95 GT :)

AFR heads
Scorpion stud rr's
Edel RPM intake

I found the following issues when I used them:

1) They are thicker so you need longer bolts
2) The oil filler tube is located differently
3) Bosses inside can interfere with rockers
4) Splash guard will need to be dealt with
5) Electrical connection bolt on the alt

What made me wanna try them was the're low profile but gave added rooom
over the OEM vc's for larger rr's :nice:

My Stud Scorpion's are huge :Word:

1 no biggie for sure

2 I cut my tube in half and used a little ricer car rad hose to reposition it

3 I introduced them to my die grinder

4 Same fix as #3

5 I did not wanna grind on my alt or vc since it is on top and visible :nono:
so
I used one 60 thou thick washer on each mounting point to shim it out ;)

All in all ... they worked out great for me :D

Heck Fire ... I didn't even need a spacer for my upper intake :spot:

I am running them on my car with Edelbrock RPM heads, no issues with the alternator or intake clearance but I have the oil tube cut down to about half and capped off with a breather cap. I got a rubber adapter tube from a V8 explorer I am going to try when the weather gets better.

it works very well if you install an intake spacer (reduces upper intake temps as well!). I have some on my 94 GT and it clears my roller rockers and all, i also have aftermarket heads. I suggest using an older style tall valve cover if you get the spacer.
