Is that going to make too much power for the T-5 tranny to handle?
What should I upgrade my Tranny and Rearend too? Budget is a issue here, so lets think economic upgrades.

3550 would be fine, get better axles and rebuild your trac loc, if a spool is in the picture as far as money goes, do it

5spd, I go Tremec TKO a little more then the 3550 but you will not out grow it, Lakewood Blow proof bell, SFI flywheel and clutch.

In the spirit of salty's cry for economic relief -- throw a C4 with a loose stall in it - gear it correctly for the track. The converter will be a little easier on the stock rear end. Money no object I'd simply follow Rick's advice on the tranny bits, and IndyBlk's on the rear end.
