i have a 69 block that has a 2 piece seal since it is older. will my crank, pistons,rods, flywheel and balancer from my 90 302 block fit in the 69 with no changes and no viberations. this is sort of urgent. thanks.
give a mach shop a call. I think the 2 pcs seal set up will need to be machined for a 1 pc set up. Other than that I dont see any problems. You will want to use the same balancer and flywheel you had to avoid vibration issues.
well the problem with that is they said it may cost more than it is worth to make it a 1 piece. i have a good 90 block that i was using but the main caps need to be allign bored for 125. i have heard the 67-70 302 blocks are stronger and have more material in them.
i think i may have gotten the mains mixed with another motor that i have so that is why i had to take it apart but not sure. i also heard that the older block have thicker cylinder walls are thicker so it would stay cooler and since both blocks are bored .060 over, i have the new barely used pistons to swap right in. i am just looking for the cheapest route to go.
