If I put slicks on my stock mustang will it break my rearend? Has anyone broken their rearend? How did they do it? Will larger tires that aren't slick break the rearend too?

anytime you put alot of stress on the rear end, you are going to risk breaking it. launching hard when you have really good traction is very stressful whether or not the tires are slicks or street tires. if you run with slicks, you will eventually need to repair/replace the rear end. but stock they are fairly strong. as long as you aren't pushing too much hp and don't do it too often, you should be ok.

mine broke on D/Rs, take your chances on the stock guts and you could be rewarded with a ride home on a flatbed . . .
