no, you shouldnt have any problems with those.

an 8 inch rim wont rub in the front or rear. is the car lowered at all? even with it being lowered, a 255/40 shouldnt have problems either.

i use 245/40 and 275/40's on my car with it lowered and they fit fine.

It's going to be lowered probably an inch. Hey, I noticed you have the Eibach springs and KYB shocks/struts. Are they the Pro springs and AGX shocks/struts? How do you like that setup? I was thinking about going with the exact same thing. Thanks.

Are these wheels from a 99+ Gt...? What kind of wheels are they?

Those tires will fit fine on the rim...

I bet you will have some rubbing issues up front when you turn the wheel lock to lock...and you have an '88 so the wheel wells are a bit tighter...

I have 245/50/16's on my '93 with pony wheels and they barely rub lock to lock...

They are the Ford Racing 17"x 8" Bullit wheels.

Yeah those come on the 01+ Gt's...they come with a 245/45/17 inch tire from the factory...

Unless you got 4-lug Bullitt wheels...your going to need to convert to 5-lug...

No such thing as 4-lug Bullitt wheels, it would be an impossible design. Unless you were being sarcastic and if that's the case then forget what I just said.
