will this block work

I am redoing my motor in my car this year. I plan on getting a used block and building the motor from there. I found a 302 block but it is out of an econoline van. The guy said he had two of them. One van was an 86 and the other was a 90. My ?? is if there is any problems using these blocks in a 1990 Mustang if I just use the block and have it machined for what I will use it for. One person told me the blocks were different the other said it would work. Any suggestions are appreciated

I think I'm pretty safe in saying that all engines after '85 were roller cammed; you'll want one that is. As long as it is a roller block, you should be golden.

Even if its not a roller block a machine shop can convert it to roller.

Could, but it would just be cheaper to start with the roller block in the first place. They are easy enough to find.
