306 / stock crank , eagle SIR rods , KB forged 11.2 compression dome pistons , edelbrock RPM heads with 2.02-1.60s , crane energizer rockers , X303 cam , cobra intake , 70mm TB and 75 mm MAF , 24 lbs injectors .....

some people tell me with a carb set up it would probably make about 340-350 rwhp .....but I am hoping to hit 320 rwhp with the fuel injection ??

I'd say you'll be at 300-315, I'm no expert though.

a good h/c/i combo will net over 300rwhp. If that intake is not ported or anything i would say about 290 or so but if it fully ported or u get a better intake i would say around 300-310

I doubt it with that cam and intake selection. Maybe 280 rwhp... Port the lower... contact Tmoss (www.tmossporting.com ) and go with a different cam and you'll be right there.

Im sorry but what are you smoking ? ..... the car makes 255 rwhp with Y303 heads , B303 cam , 110K stock block , at 10 degrees timing ....no electric fan either .......I know the lower will restrict it some but there are plenty of people eclipsing 300 rwhp with cobra intakes out of the box .....if once its together and I feel it is holding it back alot I will be going with the edelbrock RPM 2 intake ....

You may come close but the cobra manifold will be a restriction. That engine really wants an RPM manifold. RPM II is too much for that combo. If the cam was different the rpm II could work. The compression will help you.

I want the lower end torque more so than the upper RPM power ....its probably going to be getting a 100 wet shot when its all said and done and the suspension and rearend are gone thru ....I hope nobody gets offended but I have been around the block a few times with these cars so I know what works and what doesn't ......the X cam was picked because it was cheap and nobody could tell me if the trickflow stage 2 was any better with the heads I am running so thats what I went with .......

Pick a different cam and with a good tune you should be close. I think the compression will really help you.

LOL , I guess we will see , X cam is already here for it and that is what I am putting in it , I will post the numbers once its dynoed ....oh by the way this older timer just tuned my buddies car to a 7.39 in the 1/8th last night with just a typhoon intake , E303 cam , GT40 cast iron heads , with a NOS wet kit ......on stock bottom end , stock injectors , stock MAF .....I have a wideband by the way .....his air/fuel is dead on 12.0.....car made 356 rwhp and 498 rwtq on nitrous ......its fun watching a stock bottom end car go that fast yanking both wheels about 2 inches ..........

yep.

why waste your time, sell that cobra on the classifieds and find a good, used RPM intake. with that, you just may hit your goal.

true, but dont you think that if yoiu think that its gonna be holding you back now, that it would be best to just do it now and NOT have to do it down the road?

320 rwhp

with the mods in my sig (9.5:1) i put 260 rwhp on a dynojet. i do have less compression than you. i love the sound of my x cam. the guys at d.s.s. racing sold me the shortblock and cam, said they have dynoed my motor cam and intake w/aluminum aftermarket ford heads at 380 fwhp? good luck like to see your dyno sheet.

260 rwhp ?? I would say you are probably way rich with 30 lbs injectors , I have a wideband so I dialed the air/fuel in at 13.0 before I went , put down 255 rwhp and 286 rwtq on motor , and 321 rwhp and 387 rwtq on 50 dry shot with the air fuel at 12.2 and I am running 24lbs injectors
