if i just cap off the bottom of the egr valve on the intake (part that connects to tube from header) and leave the electoronics attached will the CEL come on? Im getting new headers, and ill just seal the EGR port when i get em. will this work?

Once i get my dyno tune and chip burned, ill just take it all off, but for now will it work?

My friend just told me he has a set of JBA shorties for 87-93. Will these fit my 94? I know some manufactures have the same design for the fox bodies and the sn95 with the only difference the addition of the EGR port. So if anyone knows, will these fit my car?

I don't have an EGR tube that fits my new LT and intake with spacer. So I hacked the stock tube and blocked either end. No check engine light so far.

So I think your delete idea will work.

From what i have seen the only difference between the fox and 94-95 headers is the 94-95's have the egr bung on them.

I never got a CEL by capping off the EGR valve when I installed my BBK LTs that didn't have the EGR bung. I simply put the 5\8" flare nut on it from Home Depot and left all of the electronics connected. That being said since I didn't shut the EGR off in the computer I'm going to run a Fox EGR when I do my intake swap.

A little late but...

This is exactly what I did with my 94 (when I put in the 5.0). I bought the JBA headers off of ebay. They were listed as 94-95, but when I got them they were for the fox; no egr bung. So, I decided to go egr delete and the headers fit just fine with a flowtech x pipe. (I used one of those egr valve blockoff plates off of ebay. And I used one of those resistor kits that plugs into the egr valve plug to keep the CEL from coming on). So, if you could get those headers for a good deal then go for it.
