Will this work on a 2000 Mustang GT?

I am pretty sure it would work, but you would probably have to bypass an amp or more. And you would have to get the new holder.

Why would he want that though? Just buy a good aftermarket one.

It will work, but there is a little work to be done.

He'll need to buy an 01-04 center radio bezel and the fog light switch, traction control switch and defrost switch. He'll also need to replace the gauge cluster trim since he will not have the defrost under the headlight switch anymore (stupid place for it anyway). Then you'll need to bypass an amp too. Not sure how to do it.

It has been done though

I was going to mention this, because aren't the 2000's identical to the 99s? Didn't it get the new look starting in 2001? maybe I am mistaken, but I remembered looking at a 99 Cobra before I bought my GT (huge mistake passing on the cobra by the way) and it had the same radio design as my 98. I passed on the Cobra because of that Radio design, I wanted the six-disc. Damn, I feel stupid right now. :notnice:

i would NOT do it, i tryed it for ever and never got the bass to work, i ahd to hack my dash and all, ended up getting a JVC in dash dvd player and scrapping the whole mach system because i hacke dit so bad trying to put a 6 disc in....by no means a plug and play, although there was somebody on here who pulled it off successfulyy tho, had a red '00 vert, dont remember who tho, but my 2 cents is, its a bitch!
