windage tray helps keep oil off of the crank, which is a cause of parasatic hp loss.

the big pan allows for more oil capacity, and better cooling. really good for road racing.

basically its a seperate storage tank thats plumbed into your oiling system. they come in 1, 2 and 3 quart sizes. what they do it hold pressurized oil and in the case of a massive oil pressure drop it exacuates the contents into your upper end and save the motor from oil starvation.

Every little bit helps. Ford used windage trays in the Cobra Rs and i believe cobras have them. I would highly suggest a bigger oil pan and high flow pump since most 4.6 failures come from a lack of oil

ford put a canton windage tray in the cobra R's, but the regular cobra's had the frpp windage tray which is a little different, my canton windage tray just arrived today, it is a very nice part

I was thinking about getting a larger oil pan myself with the future mods I have planned. I have a 99 GT and it only holds 5 qts.
