windage tray - crank scraper?

I've got a leaky oil pan gasket and while I'm replacing it I thought I'd install a windage tray and/or a crank scraper.

Anyone got any thoughts on the value of these - bang for the buck, etc?

Some say they work good and others say they don't. I put a Mac tray in while while I had it apart. The worst thing that could happen is my engine will weigh 3 pounds more. The best thing that can happen is I'll pick up some power.

If you get the MAC make sure you clearance it for the dipstick, I have the MAC and I had to use an aftermarket dipstick so I could check my oil.

You'll have to do some minor clearancing on the tray to clear the oil pump, they instructions didnt say anything about the dipstick.
