My car is a 1995 GTS, with power locks/windows. The passenger window, when I hit the switch, goes down smoothly, but going up it'll get about halfway then have go real shaky, or just not go up anymore at all. It started happening yesterday morning, and it's continued doing it today. I heard something about the rollers in the windows not working right, since the motors are fine. In fact, when the window goes all the way down, if I keep the switch depressed it'll make a clunking noise as if the motor keeps going but the window is all the way down. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I did this fix a couple years ago. There are three small plastic-type pieces inside the motor that act as bearings. To me they are more like dried glue that is relatively hard. These wear out over several years and actually look like smashed up rice. If they were still solid and durable, it should stop your motor from turning when the windows is all the way down or up.

I paid like $10 or less for the parts (someone on here has a business that sells odd stuff like this). I know you can find posts on this subject, because that is how I found the parts and even printed instuctions off of here (with nice images).

As you described, my window did the same thing. After this fix, it is perfect.

Car Nut, thanks a lot. Since this seems to be a common occurrence with these cars, should I swap out both sets of bearings, just in case? Also will this cause the window to get stuck in a down position at all until it's fixed? Like I said in my first post - it's shaky but it still gets there. Just wondering if it'll get worse.

It'll definitely get worse if left to do so. At some point, it's just going to fail completely.

Got it, thanks. Any special techniques to pulling the door panels off? It's a 95, so I'm sure the clips aren't all that strong anymore..

Do both doors for sure. Chance are the other door isn't too far behind.

The door getting stuck in the down position means those bearings are not in tact enough to allow the motor to push up the window.

Pulling off the door panels is very easy. Take your time and they will go back on perfectly, too.

the actual door panels i wouldn't worry about breaking its more the door cups. i can't stress enough to be very careful when pulling up the back side. the tab that holds the bottom/back down always breaks. so just be careful when pulling that up.
