Here is the deal. I had some door damage in February of this year due to some moron entering a parking stall to my left, as I opened the door and attempted to exit my car. Needless to say, he took hold of the door with his S10's bumper and bent my door to about 10 o'clock. It damaged the door hinges, interior door panel, dented the front fender, and cracked the glass. All were replaced and a refinish was completed on the body.

All of that is fixed now, except for the wind problems I am experiencing. I took it to my dealer's body shop (no, I'm not crazy, they do very good work at reasonable prices and insurance ate the cost on this one) and was extremely satisfied with body lines, door fitment, and glass replacement.

Here is the problem, however. I live in the Midwest and drive on open Interstates and Highways where wind shere (sp?) is a problem. When I am running at speeds over 55 or 60 mph, I get air leakage just above where the triangle/delta shaped piece meets the glass and the weatherstrip on the driver's side. They also replaced the little delta shaped triangle piece and that didn't help. The problem is really bad if the wind is blowing against my passenger side, pressurizing the cabin outward on the driver's glass. One day, I could even see the glass moving outward and hear the hissing even more! I can make the hissing stop if I press my thumb against the weatherstrip in an "up and out" fashion to make the seal tighter, but definitely not a long term solution. FYI, this problem is not evident on the passenger side and was never a problem on the driver's side before the body work.

Is there anything I should recommend they do as far as part replacement (weatherstrip?) or adjustment? They did adjust the door latch and it's pretty tight now. The dealer really stands behind their work and I do not think they would ever try to mess this up. I have some family connections with them, too, so that helps. Heck, I'll even get a loaner for the weekend to have fun with!

I am just pretty bummed, as when this happened, I had only had the car 6 months and whenever something happens like this, it never seems to be as good as new.

Sorry this was long and in the wrong forum (tech vs talk), but I had to get detail and a quick response for tomorrow morning's drop-off at the dealer.

Could this be it (info from Bullitt Archive)

02-17-8
Some 2001-2003 model year Mustangs may exhibit a whistle type windnoise form the "A" pillar area.
This may be caused by wind moving over the fastener holes of the "A" pillar applique
Verify condition by taping off the area. install a foam block in the applique to keep wind from passing over the hold causing the whistle.

KT, thanks for the reply.

From that post, does it appear that they put foam beneath the weatherstrip, then re-install it over the foam, to get it up to par? I hope so, as it would look pretty ghetto if they just put an adhesive foam piece in the weatherstrip channel to make the whistle stop.

Thanks!

EDIT: Now that I look closer at the drawing, that is not where I have the air seepage. It's right above where the window housing (that triangular piece on the door's top side) meets the weatherstripping. If I push on the weatherstrip just above it, I can stop the air whistle.
