I had my windows tinted. Fronts are starting to scratch. The tinter is going to replace the tint but does not know where or what to get to keep it from scratching. I have done a search and I cant find anything on this site as to where to get felt or moleskin. I just need to to know where to get some so I wont have a problem any more....Thanks in advance...

Do a search for "window tint" or "felt"

A product called Plexus and a quality microfiber towel is great for cleaning window tint.

Am I the only person here wondering why there is a problem? I have tint on my car too, and haven't had any problems. BUT, the car is only about a month old.

Is this a problem that I should expect too??

Thanks.

Unless the tinter applied felt or moleskin to the inside window channel, you will probably start seeing scratches showing up. If your tint shop doesn't know about
this you need to find one that does.

The reason you are not getting the answer you seek is because most here know this has been discussed several times. Search for the relevent terms and read the results until you find the one that answers your specific questions. I know it takes time, but asking everyone here to do your homework for you isn't likely to yield the answers you seek. After 5 or 6 threads on the topic people start loosing interest in answering the exact same question over and over.

I did do my homework. I did read every post that the search came up with. They are all like this post with all the so called "experts" posting answers that have no bearing on the question! This is why the internet is so great everyone is an expert!!!! Half of what is posted is not right and the other half is wrong also. Only once in a blue moon do you get a good answer I would not have asked the question if I knew the answer. The best reply is the one that tells me how to clean my windows right on the topic :OT: I love this place!!!

DON'T go to Home Depot.

The glue won't stand up in the heat. It will come off and smear your glass.

Go to automoleskin.com They make the stuff JUST for our cars!
