I have a 2006 GT convertible. Today the passenger door window started doing something on its own....it started going down all by itself. When I tried to raise it from the control on the driver's side, it wouldn't go up. I had to try it a bunch of times before it finally went up. The same thing happened when I tried to raise it from the passenger door side so I figured it can't be the buttons. A few weeks ago the same window wouldn't go up all the way after I put the top up. It stopped a little over half-way. I was able to raise it all the way but it usually went up all the way.

Any thoughts? THANKS!

Try reseting the windows. Start with drivers side and lower it down, hold the button down for 3 to 5 seconds. Roll it all the way up and continue to hold the switch 3 - 5 seconds. Go to the passenger side and repeat. Then passenger quarter window. Last, the drivers quarter window. This should reset the window memory.

Reminds me of my old 72 olds442, passenger window would roll itself up about half way. I be live it was haunted as it had manual windows.

Not convertible. Ford extended my warranty because of issue. But the last one the dealer said it was water intrusion that caused the issue so no not covered!!
Also had to pay over $400.00 on brake pedal button deteriorating which is now going to be a recall!! Wonder if Ford will be reimbursing all of use that had the problem and paid for complete lever assembly when a $.01 plastic button would solved the problem.

If Ford is the one that previously replaced the window motor and is now claiming "water intrusion" then my rebuttal might be that Ford failed the installation of the window motor? Need proof? It has water intrusion.

Seems to me they implanted their foot in their mouth. I would claim warranty on that part/service specifically. Maybe the next time they will do the job correctly but are welcome to keep repeating the process until they've learned to do it correctly. Had it been done correctly, you'd not be having this conversation... again.

Offer them an alternative: You'll go find the [most] expensive knuckle-dragger in your city to do the job correctly then take that bill and $65 to small claims court for full reimbursement from Ford.

It's cheaper for them to just do it right.

I'm responding in case anyone else is having this issue. I have an 06 GT Convertible. It's been acting possessed LOL!
I finally found the water entry. It under the cowl below the wipers. Leaves get in and clog the drain. I had about 3 inches of then and same with water. It was coming into the cabin filter box. Guess what's right there to get soaked? The BCM (body control module). Yes and they are very VERY proud of this thing. $600 and was able to complete the exorcism with a new one.
With the knowledge of, don't let voodoo leaves get into the area, we can all live a great and happy unpossessed Mustang life!!!!!
