How the heck to you get the lower piece (windshield molding) back in. I've got the glass in and have replaced the molding clips, BUT, I can't seem to get the lower molding bent down enough to clip under the clips.

Anyone? Please help!

Thanks,
Dave

Are you sure you got the correct clips? Do you still have an old one left to compare it to? If it does not snap in with a slap of your hand they are probally the wrong ones.

Yeah they look like the same clips. The clips came with each piece. I have compared it to the original one and it looks the same. The only difference I could see was the original looked a little more like the contour of the windsield.

Should the clips be all the way in (where they should be) or should I pull them out a little and let the bottom lip of the molding get a grip and then push them in?

Thanks,
David

If I remember correctly they should snap onto the little "T" stud and the top of the clip should be close to even or sticking up a little (1/16") with the body. I don't think you can install them backwards. The rear has two different sizes, are you sure you did not mix the front and rear up?

Yeah, I got the right one. I screwed up the first one so I have to order a new one. Oh well. Try! Try! Cry! again.

I'll let you know how the next one goes...

Thanks,
