1985 Mustang GT 5.0
I have had some kind of wire short draining the battery,
Today as I went to turn off the car, the radio continued to play, spotting, I had to keep messing with the ingition key,
Does anyome have any thoughts, I have had teh car for 40 years, Only owner.
Is there ant relays or is it as simple as and ingition key system?

If you'd rather not use LMR's knock-off switch, here is the Motorcraft one...

Thanks, I took everthing apart, seems easy, do you actually feel like this would cause an issue with the radio playing after the car was turned off? does this switch do more than just start and stop the car ?

The ignition switch is what controls power to the fuse block which turns on/off various circuits depending on key position.

Replace it sooner than later as it's a known fire hazard. I'd also grab the Motorcraft switch and not the LMR "mystery parts store" switch.

OK thanks It just did it again, it was like the radio had power going to it and the died out after 1 minute or so, Still think the switch is the spot to start
