Hi,
Just wondering if you can run the wire from the alternator to the starter relay where the positive battery cable from the trunk is coming, instead of running it all the way back to the battery. Can current flow in both directions in a wire? If so why doesn't anyone run the wire to the start relay.
Thanks
Tyler

Yes and what do you mean about current running both ways? Be more specific.

The reason that is you will not pass track tech likethat. When the attery is relocated to the trunk, you are required to have a cut off switch. For the switch to work and do its job, the charging cable from the alternator must go to the side of the switch along with the battery cable.

yea, it should work, but like timmy2734 stated if you're going to the track you must have the alternator wire running to the kill switch, but if your car isn't going to the track what you stated should work

That's how it is run from the factory. But as others have said, to be track legal you have to run it to the back. No way of getting around it.
