I don't know much at all about the electrical system of our cars. Then when adding the zex kit, heater, purge, HI-6S, & shift light I don't really know what wires to splice for the 12 v power that is hot only when the key is on and during cranking. Right now its all (except for the purge which is not hooked up) connected to the radio power wire. I have been told this is not good, but I don't know were else to put it. Any suggestions for the electrical gods out there?

Get some help from someone who knows how to do wiring work correctly - best advice I can give you!

The best short term advise is to tap the Red/LT Green wire that supplies power to the ignition coil.

If you are familar with how to wire relays, make another post & I will give to some ideas on adding another fused circuit that only comes on with the ignition switch.

I don't think he wants to run the heater off that wire though

The HI-6S comes with pretty good installation instructions as well including specific make diagrams, like Ford, Chevy, etc. Not easy to mess those up.
