All Ford needs to do, is to claim that any performance mod is evidence of possible abuse (ie, "racing"). All the proof that is needed, is simply the existence of the performance mod. That is enough to fully void your entire warranty. The legal basis is that if you make a performance mod, you must be making use of it.
There are two parts to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. Unfortunately, too many aftermarket part places like to conveniently "forget" about the other part which deals with abuse.

Obvious abuse is another story. You change your shifter and mess up your syncro's or bend a shift fork, that's your problem. I'm actually in favor of denying these "obvious abuse" claims. I don't like having to pay more for my vehicles because some clowns are out there cheating the system.
