I'm taking the hoosiers to the track tonight. I'm hoping to break into the 12's with them. cross your fingers for my stock tranny, stock axles, and stock u joints. i'm hoping that the stock replacement clutch takes all the abuse instead of my tranny or axles. but i'm going all out. i have to hit the 12 second mark before i leave for england.

Good luck. The axles have a better chance at living if you slip the clutch on the launch rather than dumping it. Run the car as cool as possible, shift as fast as possible, slide your pass seat all the way back if its in the car, take out all un-needed weight/stuff.

Good luck! With a smooth 1.8 60' you should be easily into the 12's as long as the rest of the pass goes well. Just because you have slicks doesn't mean you have to drop the clutch like Paul said, just slip it some and (for lack of better words) "baby" it out of the hole to ensure that you don't just grab with the tires and twist something.

they aren't big slicks by any means so i'm hoping for enough grip to get some good 60ft times without breaking ****.

thanks for the words of advise.
