wonder what is up with this car.....

OK there is this 5.0 sitting and rotting in my town. I checked it out before, didnt really want it.

It was an 87 GT, BUT it had a MAF and it ran better when unplugged, the guy said it would sputter and run like **** if it was plugged in. So it was left unplugged, as far as i know the motor is stock with a B cam
does that cam just mess it up or what.

I dont see how a car would run better without the MAF.

If the MAF is F'ed up, the car will run a lot better with it unplugged.

well maybe some guy put a MAF on the car wrong, since the car is an 87 and there werent MAF equipped stangs then....

When the people before me converted mine to mass air they left take box on the fire wall hooked up I could unhook the mass air and it would stay ruing, now that i un hooked the box on the fire wall it dies when i unplug the mass air.. havent noticed any differnce in milage or power.

Ask the guy about how he did the MAF conversion to see if he seems savvy. Also see if the MAP sensor still is attached to manifold vacuum.
