supposed to have been sooo bad we were going to be swept in 3 games (you need to win 4 out of 7).....cards won it in 5 loosing only 1. 24 or so years since St. Louis has won a world series longest in stl. history.

BASTARDS!!! I believe that if the Tigers wouldn't have swept the previous team and had to rest for several days, they would've taken it. Practically all Card runs came in when they made the stupid ass errors. They deserved to lose for all those errors, but I know they would've had it, even with their low hitting ave.

game one was a clear cards win no matter what. Game 2 was a loss but a "questionable" one with the "tar" issue. Game 3 Carpenter had a SHUT OUT so another clear win no matter what (extra cush from the errors though). Game 4 yeah a choke on the tigers and game 5 maybe so too...but to say the series was a error series being the only reason we won I wouldnt say that. The errors helped for sure but this was the world series ANY other team that played like that would have lost.

Remember in 04 we had the hands down best team in baseball with a 105 season, and got schooled (swept) by the redsoxs who just simply outplayed the cards. The same thing kinda happend here one team just simply outplayed the other and earned the wins.

The team that played well when it needed to won.

Not discrediting anything from the cards. Good WIN! But it would've been a completely different story without all those errors, but we'll never know.

Wasnt Poo-hand taken care of in the first inning? He still pitched awesome after the poop stains were removed (not that half the pitchers out there don't goober up their hands).

When I played I used pine tar once (and only once after that first time). I couldn't get it off my hands without solvent. I'm wondering what that crap really was; I even wondered if it was a psyche thing.

I wanted JL to win, but I'm happy for TL and his guys. There's no manager more 'heady' than La Russa. JL and the Tigers had an amazing turn around, and JL was the man when he took all responsibility for all the errors and such. Both managers and organizations are class acts.

JT.

J/K .... I like baseball. I just can't sit through a whole game. It's too slow paced to watch the whole thing (to me). Football & hockey .... now I can watch those all day long. Basketball ... haha. People joke about NASCAR and how they go around in circles. To me, basketball is worse. Running back & forth doing almost the same thing every trip. No thanks. But I do love to watch Duke vs. UNC B-ball.

Anyway, I was rooting for the Tigers as well. Oh well.

Well the ones from McDonalds are pretty good. I prefer Pecan pie but I do enjoy a good apple pie, beer, poontang, and football. Just like any red-blooded, God fearing American should.
